It was not uncommon for Dean Dollar to see Jerry Reed,
Boots Randolph or Gladys Knight jamming in his living
room as a youngster. His mother often hosted many of
industry's' early greats in their home. During the early
50's, Dean's mother and aunt produced a television show
"Barn Dance Theater" that aired in Atlanta. His mother
was a recording artist on Decca Records in the early late
50s through the 60s era and was also a songwriter
(Brenda Lee - "Just a Little").
With this early exposure, is it no surprise that music
became Deans career focus? As a teenager he began
to play the guitar and write songs. He later formed the
Dean Dollar Band, with single releases airing on local
and regional radio stations. Dean is a BMI songwriter
and is currently working on material for a new CD.
Dean has always maintained a quality band and has
enlisted many top ranked musicians over the years;
Barry "BB" Borden-Mother's Finest, Jody Payne-Willie
Nelson, Kerry Creasy-Elvin Bishop/Jerry Garcia, Randy
Sorrells-Montgomery Gentry, Steve Hawkins-Leon
Russell/Joe Cocker, among others. The group has been
touring the country since 1990 and has opened for such
notable groups such as The Charlie Daniels Band,
Waylon Jennings and BTO.
The Dean Dollar Band is known nationwide, from New York
to Los Angeles. Dean has a unique relationship with the
audience that is genuinely personal. The Dean Dollar Band
are always in high demand because of the high level of
entertainment, music and musicianship he and his band
